In the perspective of the animal...

lol... You prolly think this is like... Some kind of PETA thing... _{Spoiler: Its not even close.}

So my brother tends to bring up some odd conversations and topics from a day to day basis, some of which are somewhat interesting... This one is something that he brought up some time ago but I'ma throw it down here anyways.

You see, he brought up the point that if one were to go by the theory that if an animal's goal in life is to pass on its genetics and traits across the world, then, in general, an animal would want to be something that humans would eat.

What, Silver? What on this planet would he mean by that!? Being eaten is a horrible thing and blablabla[insertPETApropagandahere]

Now, now... Hear me out here. If an animal's goal in life is to spread their genetics into the next generation as well and across the world, then the best way for that is to want to be eaten by humans. Take Cows for instance,  they are delicious and humans want to eat them, therefore they farm them in mass herds, picking out their best stock and breeding them, causing those genes to be passed down into the next several generations, and in great mass(because what farm only lets a bull breed to one heifer?) in order for there to be enough meat for humans to eat them. And that same cow could be shipped off across the country, or even across the world, to another farm to spread its delicious genetics about.

See what I'm getting at? I mean, one could keep whining and complaining at how "unethical" farming animals for slaughter, but really... If cows could speak and if some one asked them, they probably wouldn't be complaining too much. They get food, shelter, and a way to pass on their genes to the next generation. I don't see too many wild, not so delicious animals getting the same treatment here, and I'm sure they envy those cows/chickens/sheep/etc. who are spread across the world and without a very high risk of their extinction.
