Pastel Hills

The Pastel Hills of planet Nowhere are quite the sight to see. The various layers of mineral deposits have become and exposed to the surface, causing several different layers of color to show in the right kind of light. Living here, however, is rather difficult due to the very low chance of rain. And when the rains do come, they hit hard and wash away quickly. That doesn't stop creatures and beasts from surviving in the area just fine.




Anyways...

Painting practice. This was actually inspired when I visited The Badlands in South Dakota. Though why I didn't paint it up after I went to SD I don't know.

Either way, I'm kinda happy with how this turned out. The filter effect I added at the end was a nice touch and all the colors seem to flow together nicely.
